Ram sports were coming of a great win in their previous match, but the job was half done. They needed to win this match to make it to the final four. On the other hands, Durga lions were playing for prestige. They wanted to win it to finish the disastrous tournament in a positive way.
Winning the toss, Durga Lawns had no hesitation in batting first looking at the pitch which was already dusty after first match. Unlike previous matches, this time Durga lawns openers showed intent as they added 44 runs in just 3.4 overs. Jayant looked at ease and struck five fours in his knock of 33. Aman was dismissed for a duck but Govind came in and played some really huge shots on his way to 33 of 33. He smashed 2 huge sixes which went out of the ground but once he was dismissed, Durga Lawns innings scattered like grains on floor. From 85 for 4 in 10 overs, they were all out for 101. Shubham was the chief destroyer with his off spin as he grabbed 4 wickets for 24 runs in his 4 overs.
101 was not a big total for a batting lineup that had Mayank, Prakhar and Bhavya, but it was never easy on a dust-bowl. Prakhar was dismissed early and Mayank got out after getting a good start. Shubham joined in at 45-2 and Ram sports needed almost run a ball from there. Although the ball was turning, some sloppy fielding and missed run out chances means Ram Sports edged out Durga Lawns easily. There was some late struggle for Ram Sports as Alok and Abbas got out in quick successions but Bhavya took them home.
